The Tumwater Thunderbirds will face off against the Aberdeen Bobcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tumwater is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lynden a 6-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won seven games in a row.

The result came thanks to Ella Ferguson's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Megan Barrett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Fields, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen's hitters rose to the challenge against a Trojans pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.96 runs allowed on Friday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Olympic. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.
Maysinn Jones was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Rylee Hendrickson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Aberdeen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympic only posted a batting average of .167.
Aberdeen's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Tumwater, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tumwater hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Aberdeen struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
