Baseball Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Takes a Loss

Cattaraugus-Little Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 20-2 to the Franklinville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 50-2 loss last Thursday.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D.J. Szata, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Szata has hit this season.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Franklinville, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cattaraugus-Little Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Randolph at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Franklinville will face off against rival Ellicottville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
