Soccer Game Preview: 'Aiea vs. Pearl City

The 'Aiea Na Alii and the Pearl City Chargers will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. 'Aiea's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

'Aiea is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Waipahu, who was ranked seventh at the time ('Aiea was ranked 22nd). 'Aiea might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Waipahu an easy 10-0 win.

Meanwhile, Pearl City and Campbell finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Monday.

'Aiea's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. With that draw, Pearl City's record moves to 4-4-2.

'Aiea came up short against Pearl City when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can 'Aiea avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
