Football Game Preview: Eddyville Eagles vs. Alsea Wolverines

The Eddyville Eagles will head out to face off against the Alsea Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eddyville's defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so Alsea's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Eddyville was fully in charge, breezing past Lewis Academy 49-13. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Alsea played against Mapleton on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Alsea moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Eddyville, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Eddyville against Alsea in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 63-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
