Basketball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen West suffered their closest loss since February 2, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes by a score of 50-48. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morristown-Hamblen East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Hall, who went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. Hall continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Harmony Sullivan, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 18 points and three steals.

Morristown-Hamblen West's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-6.

Morristown-Hamblen West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they will face off against Sevier County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Morristown-Hamblen East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
