Greenwood waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Metcalfe County Hornets 15-0. Considering the Gators have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Greenwood's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Metcalfe County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenwood will venture away from home to face off against Franklin-Simpson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metcalfe County, they will head out to square off against Allen County-Scottsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
