            Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Georgetown Visitation Prep walked away with it. They blew past the Jackson-Reed Tigers 12-2 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Georgetown Visitation Prep got a great performance from  Sami Farmer as she  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits.

Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Lucie Touomou, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.

Georgetown Visitation Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record  this season.
