Volleyball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Soquel Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Soquel, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Carmel will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seaside at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Soquel, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Jesuit on the 12th.
