Baseball Recap: Godinez Fundamental Drops Highest Score of Season Against Saddleback

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Godinez Fundamental). Everything went their way against the Saddleback Roadrunners on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-0 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Grizzlies with their most commanding win of the season.

Mark Aguilar was incredible, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Magallon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Godinez Fundamental hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Godinez Fundamental pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Saddleback, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8-1.

Godinez Fundamental will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Roadrunners: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
