Volleyball Recap: Deshler Beats Covenant Christian for Their Fourth Straight Win + How To Watch

Deshler proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Covenant Christian Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four games in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Deshler got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 14-25, 15-8.

Leading Deshler to victory were Kendall Scogin and Allie Wiginton. Scogin had 12 digs and three aces, while Wiginton had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Wiginton a new career-high.

Deshler's record now sits at 17-5. As for Covenant Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Deshler didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Brooks on the 11th. As for Covenant Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wilson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
