Volleyball Recap: Newark Memorial Gets the Win + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Newark Memorial challenged San Mateo on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bearcats.

Erin Santos paced Newark Memorial's offense, picking up nine kills. Santos got some help from Gianna Adame and her 14 assists. Adame was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Newark Memorial now has a winning record of 8-7. As for San Mateo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Newark Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mountain View on the 13th. As for San Mateo, they will be playing at home against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
