Baseball Recap: Community School of Naples' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Community School of Naples pushed their score to 19 the last time they played First Baptist Academy, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Community School of Naples Seahawks won by a run and slipped past the First Baptist Academy Lions 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Seahawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Community School of Naples got a great performance from Chris Risola as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Risola has allowed since back in February.

The win (which was Community School of Naples' third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for First Baptist Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community School of Naples will challenge Southwest Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Community School of Naples' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Southwest Florida Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for First Baptist Academy, they will face off against Immokalee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
