Severance entered their tilt with Wellington on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Saturday.

Brady Iversen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dom Rice was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Mann, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Severance pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wellington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Severance will be playing at home against Greeley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wellington, they will head out on the road to take on Bennett at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
