Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houston County). They secured a 58-54 W over the Perry County Vikings on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Irish: when they faced off against the Vikings back in January, they had to take a 54-42 defeat.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Klase, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Klase also posted a 55% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kristan Duncan, who posted 18 points.

Houston County's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Perry County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.
