Volleyball Recap: Veritas Academy Takes a Loss

Veritas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hill Country Christian Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Veritas Academy of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Veritas Academy was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 18 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18.

Rose Moore paced Veritas Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Moore got some help from Avery Roberts and her four assists. Bailey McGehee controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Hill Country Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Veritas Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Keystone on the 22nd. As for Hill Country Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Texas School for the Deaf on the 22nd.
