Charlotte S proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Carmel Christian Cougars 6-4. The Stampede haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Tommy Shaw was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Noah Wilhoit also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
