Charlotte S proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Carmel Christian Cougars 6-4. The Stampede haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Tommy Shaw was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Noah Wilhoit also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Charlotte S' victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Carmel Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Charlotte S will head out to square off against Pro Stock Royals Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pro Stock Royals Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Charlotte S' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Carmel Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legion Collegiate Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Carmel Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Legion Collegiate Academy has averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
