Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Berean Christian Eagles

After three games on the road, Campolindo is heading back home. The Campolindo Cougars and the Berean Christian Eagles will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Campolindo beat Liberty 49-37. Given Campolindo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Liberty is ranked 417th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campolindo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tim Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Smith also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Mansour, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, after a 58-56 finish the last time they played, Berean Christian and Summit K2 decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Berean Christian made off with a 1-0 victory over Summit K2. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Berean Christian has scored all year.

Campolindo's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Berean Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
