Hill-Murray took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Cretin-Derham Hall, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pioneers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Raiders on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pioneers have posted since April 21st.

Hill-Murray is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

As of now, neither Hill-Murray nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
