Recap: Richwood Rams vs. Ringgold Redskins
After flying high against the North Webster Knights on Friday, the Richwood Rams came back down to earth. Richwood was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 57-56 to Ringgold. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Ringgold to victory were Jordyn Wilson and Jbari Adams. Wilson scored 23 points along with nine rebounds, while Adams dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Adams hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 23 straight games. La'Daunte McCoy was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.
Richwood's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Ringgold, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richwood will take on Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bastrop will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Richwood is ranked 86th). As for Ringgold, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
