Volleyball Recap: Mallard Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mallard Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the North Mecklenburg Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

While Mallard Creek ultimately came up short, they really made North Mecklenburg work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Kelsey Knox paced Mallard Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. Knox got some help from Nadia Bryant and her 17 assists.

Mallard Creek's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for North Mecklenburg, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mallard Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Mecklenburg will challenge rival Butler at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
