Preview: Camas Papermakers vs. Battle Ground Tigers
Camas is 8-0 against Battle Ground since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Camas Papermakers will head out on the road to face off against the Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Camas is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
Camas can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against Union as Camas made off with a 52-27 victory. Given Camas' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Union is ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Battle Ground's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Skyview 49-10. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Battle Ground couldn't push the score so high this time.
With Camas' win and Battle Ground's defeat, both teams now sport identical 7-1 records.
Everything came up roses for Camas against Battle Ground when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Camas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
