Baseball Recap: Hackberry Wins Going Away Against Starks

Hackberry won the last time they faced Starks and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs blew past the Panthers 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Madden Spicer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. Derek Murphy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Hackberry now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Starks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Hackberry will challenge Jena at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Starks, they will square off against South Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
