Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Plainfield South and Glenbard West squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Plainfield South had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Plainfield South's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of George Jimenez, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Alexander Venes, who had 19 assists and four digs. Venes has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more assists the last 14 times he's played.

Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 25-14. As for Glenbard West, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-5.

As of now, neither Plainfield South nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
