Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Keystone Oaks). Everything went their way against the East Allegheny Wild Cats on Monday as they made off with an 18-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Kailyn Brannon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Evie Kyper was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Keystone Oaks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Keystone Oaks and bumps their season record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for East Allegheny, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone Oaks will face off against McGuffey at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Allegheny, they will challenge Brentwood at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
