Baseball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Cloverdale hit Middletown with a seven-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell 15-10 to the Eagles. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tyler Galamay was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Hunter Karp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Middletown has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season. As for Cloverdale, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.
