Volleyball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lamar Thunder. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Thunder when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberal took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Liberal's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lamar, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberal will square off against Guymon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they will be playing at home against Florence at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
