Baseball Recap: Zane Trace Comes Up Short

Zane Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellston Golden Rockets.

Zane Trace's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Wellston, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Zane Trace and Wellston are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Pioneers will square off against Minford at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wellston, they will take on Wheelersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
