Volleyball Game Preview: Southern Wells Raiders vs. Daleville Broncos

Southern Wells is 0-8 against Daleville since October of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Raiders will square off against the Broncos at 1:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Southern Wells is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Wes-Del. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Sydney Alstoft was nothing short of spectacular: she had seven digs and two aces. She has been hot, having also posted 23 or more assists the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jailyn Chase, who had eight digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Daleville made easy work of Tri-Central on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Southern Wells' record is now 17-14. As for Daleville, their record now sits at 17-12.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Southern Wells has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Daleville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
