Druid Hills came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Riverwood Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Thursday.

Druid Hills easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10.

Druid Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kassidy Manning led the charge by getting three aces and one block. What's more, Manning racked up 12 assists, the most she's had over her last nine matchups. Sophia Florence was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Druid Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive games.

Druid Hills' victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Riverwood, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Druid Hills has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Walker on the 16th. As for Riverwood, they will face off against Decatur at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
