Baseball Game Preview: Joppatowne Mariners vs. Aberdeen Eagles

For the second straight game, Joppatowne will face off against Aberdeen. The Mariners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Joppatowne fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Aberdeen on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Joppatowne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Mason Rose also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

With the win, Aberdeen broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8. As for Joppatowne, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
