Basketball Recap: Anderson County Takes a Loss

Anderson County came up into this matchup off a tough 30-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Central Heights Vikings by a score of 29-27 on Thursday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sydney Evans, who posted seven points and four steals. Evans has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Arabella Dunbar was another key player, putting up five points.

Anderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Central Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Anderson County will take on Burlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Heights, they and Southeast will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central Heights comes in on three and Southeast on four.
