Football Game Preview: Linn Wildcats vs. Tipton Cardinals

The Linn Wildcats will head out to challenge the Tipton Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Linn has given up an average of 33.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-12, which was the final score in Linn's tilt against Russellville on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Indians are ranked 141st).

Meanwhile, Tipton entered their tilt with Fayette on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons, posting a 79-8 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 42 points or more this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Linn and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Tipton, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Linn was dealt a bruising 58-12 loss at the hands of Tipton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
