Basketball Game Preview: Fort Chiswell Pioneers vs. Galax Maroon Tide

The Fort Chiswell Pioneers will take on the Galax Maroon Tide at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Fort Chiswell's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Galax has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Fort Chiswell was beaten by George Wythe 93-48. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Galax had to suffer through a 79-44 loss at the hands of George Wythe. While losing is never fun, the Maroon Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Maroons are ranked 69th).

Fort Chiswell's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Galax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
