Baseball Game Preview: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Phoenixville Phantoms

The Upper Perkiomen Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Phoenixville Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Upper Perkiomen didn't have quite enough to beat Upper Merion Area and fell 6-5. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Pierce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Brayden Adam and Nathan Schramm stepped up to the plate in a big way. Adam scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Schramm went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Phoenixville's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Pope John Paul II, falling 15-0.

Upper Perkiomen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Phoenixville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
