Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Christian Starts Season with Win Against Bowling Green Christian Academy

Grand Lake Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 33-24 win over the Bowling Green Christian Academy Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Bowling Green Christian Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Lake Christian will face off against Harvest Temple Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Temple Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Grand Lake Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bowling Green Christian Academy, they will challenge Horizon Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
