Basketball Recap: Lapel Piles Up the Points Against Alexandria-Monroe

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lapel). They blew past the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers 87-53 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lapel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bode Judge, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Judge also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Brode B Judge was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points and six assists.

Lapel was working as a unit and finished the game with 30 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lapel now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Lapel will be taking part in a tournament against Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lapel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season. As for Alexandria-Monroe, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers challenge the Elwood Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
