Carlsbad was beaten by Hobbs 64-28 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cavemen/Cavegirls in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Roswell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 44-39 victory over Clovis on Friday.

Carlsbad's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Roswell, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-12.
