Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Triumphs

Plainfield South lost to Andrew back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Plainfield South won by a set and slipped past Andrew 2-1.

Papaa Adansi-Ofori paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up 11 kills. Adansi-Ofori got some help from Alexander Venes and his 28 assists. Finally, Adansi-Ofori was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Andrew lost, don't look at Dominic Ennis. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Ennis a new career-high.

Plainfield South's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Andrew, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Plainfield South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Argo on the 29th. As for Andrew, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lockport on the 29th.
