Fleming Island came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Spruce Creek Hawks by a score of 2-0. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Lauren Brosky paced Fleming Island's offense, picking up eight kills. Brosky got some help from Hazel Williams and her 15 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Spruce Creek lost, don't look at Evelyn Webb. Despite the final result, she had three digs and two aces. Logan Milan also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Fleming Island's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Spruce Creek, with the loss, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.
