Basketball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord lost against Howard back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Concord Raiders took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Howard Wildcats. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Howard found their leader in sophomore Ha'Lena Griffin, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bria Harker-Brown, who posted four points and seven steals.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Howard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Concord has already played their next match (against Glasgow), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Howard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Newark on the 17th.
