Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morrow). Everything went their way against the Banneker Trojans on Wednesday as the Morrow Mustangs made off with a 6-2 win. With the Mustangs ahead 5-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

They hit Banneker with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rosie Lara (3), Georjina Baires, Jaqueline Perez, and Yuridia Maldonado.

The victory snapped Morrow's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-9 record. As for Banneker, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Morrow didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat against Dutchtown on the 14th. As for Banneker, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Mundy's Mill at 5:30 p.m. Banneker has given up an average of 10.4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
