Basketball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport lost against St. George back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Newport Grizzlies lost 63-38 to the St. George's Dragons. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newport now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. George's, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

When Newport and St. George's next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Newport will try to stop Northwest Christian School's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. George's will try to stop Kettle Falls' three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
