Baseball Recap: Millikan Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Templeton, Millikan was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits by a score of 6-3. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Jackrabbits recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Millikan got a great performance from Daunte Bell as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Bell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Keisler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Anthony Pack was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Millikan's record is now 18-6. As for Long Beach Poly, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan will square off against Cabrillo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Long Beach Poly, they will challenge Downey at 3:14 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
