Basketball Recap: Luray Piles Up the Points Against Page County

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Luray walked away with it. They breezed past the Page County Panthers to the tune of 75-41 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted since January 31st.

Luray got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Hilliard out in front who on his way to 14 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Hilliard now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. Blake Jenkins was another key player, en route to 18 points.

Luray pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Page County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Luray will face off against Buckingham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Luray's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. Page County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
