Baseball Recap: Alchesay Comes Up Short

If Alchesay was riding high fresh off their 17-2 takedown of St. Michael on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell just short of the Tuba City Warriors by a score of 7-6 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 two weeks ago.

Rajon Kenton made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Alchesay's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 4-9 when he doesn't). Yohan Beatty was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Alchesay dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Tuba City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Alchesay will host Miami at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tuba City, they will face off against Chinle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
