Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wesleyan entered their tilt with Lanier on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Longhorns. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

Emma Jane Gillis paced Wesleyan's offense, picking up nine kills. Gillis got some help from Caroline Stickney and her 22 assists. Finally, Mary Parker Stivers kept Wesleyan's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Wesleyan's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Lanier, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Wesleyan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hebron Christian on the 20th. As for Lanier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against North Gwinnett on the 20th.
