Leo dropped their record down to 12-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took  a  7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Jackson Mitchell was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Leo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Ruoff, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers,  the  victory  got them back to even at 7-7. The  win was a breath of fresh air for they as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
 On Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' side,  Christian Brell and  Jacob Felger did most of the damage at the plate:  Brell  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI, while  Felger  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI. Felger has become a key player for the Knights: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  three  hits, but 4-7 otherwise.  Cooper Peters also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Coming up, Leo will host East Noble  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they will head out to  challenge Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Cadets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.73  runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
