Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Charleston Collegiate

There's no place like home for Faith Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils by a score of 64-55 on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-57 back in January.

Charleston Collegiate's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Reed, who posted 23 points and six rebounds. Reed continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kani Butler, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points and five assists.

The victory snapped Faith Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9 record. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Faith Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-47 loss against Dorchester Academy on the 4th. As for Charleston Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-35 win against Palmetto Christian Academy on the 4th.
