Basketball Recap: Palatine Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Palatine Pirates were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palatine's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Palatine and Wheaton-Warrenville South should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Palatine (ranked 84th) will meet Wheeling (ranked 400th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Wheaton-Warrenville South will challenge St. Charles East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 191 places (82 vs. 273).
