Baseball Recap: Mountainburg Has No Trouble Against Mulberry

While Mountainburg put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Mulberry. The Mountainburg Dragons blew past the Mulberry Yellowjackets 15-0. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Dallon Turner was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Caedmon Cowett was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Mountainburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mulberry, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountainburg will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Cotter at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mulberry, they will host Western Yell County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Yell County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22 runs per game on average), something Mulberry will no doubt try to take advantage of.
